Get in alignment

Get in alignment! That’s the message I received.  I had hung out in my apartment for about two weeks and barely getting outdoors. One morning I woke up and as I was getting ready for the morning, Spirit placed on my heart: “decide what you want out of these contract opportunities.”  And I thought, wow, that is true! What is it that I want?

Around this time last year, I started doing contract work as a source of income, while I built up Charliie’s TRUTH.  The purpose was to do this temporary work so that I would not be super stressed about my finance and be in control of my schedule.  However, it appeared that somehow along the way, I may have become complacent. That evening, following Spirit prompting me to decide what it is I want, I was talking to a friend and the message came to me… Get in alignment.

The next day, having that statement and question (what do you want out of this) in mind, I had decided that I would create a list of what it was I desired.  On this day, I was working from one of the contract offices. And as I sat there, I felt water well up in my eyes and a soft whisper came through, “you’re afraid.”

I took the time that morning to journal out everything that came to me… and it was clear, I was working from a place of fear.  Fear of my potential. Fear that if I show up in my entirety that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with what would be demanded of me.  WOW!! That was a hard pill to swallow. But I was also reminded, by God, that He has always provided for me, prepared me, and stayed with me throughout every task that He sent me on.  That though it may seem to be a big responsibility, He was with me and I did not need to be afraid. He reminded me of all that we accomplished this year that I was hesitant to do. And during that journal session, I finally understood what Henry meant last year when he asked me if I was afraid of my potential.  I became of aware of my desires and how I was half as*ing them. And though I am the one to remind myself and others that halfway obedience is not obedience, it was clear that I was being halfway obedient.

At that moment I made a vow to myself that I will SHOW ALL THE WAY UP! When God gives me a task I will commit and go for it.  I will not use my energy worrying about how the world will perceive my creations or whatever, and I will not worry about whether I am able to give it all of me.  I won’t worry because I know that I AM CAPABLE. I AM ABLE. I AM CALLED.

Once I was able to come to terms with what had happened in my life these past couple of months, and the messages from these past two days … I came up with a list of things to get done by the end of the week.  Not only was my career/soul service goals needing realignment, but so did the area of my home, health, spiritual practice, and personal life. It was time that I GET IN ALIGNMENT. Period. And that meant that since every area of my life affects another, it was time to check in and readjust, where necessary.  So what was my plan to get in alignment?

Ask yourself WHY you’re doing what you’re currently doing:  Find out what is currently working for you in your life and what is not.  For example, why are you at that job or in that relationship; is the reasoning based on fear or love? Sometimes we are doing things out of habit, or because it helps us to our end goal… whatever the reason is… become clear of it and move accordingly.  This is also a great question for periodic check-ins with yourself or partners.

Decide and get clear on what is it that your heart and soul desires:  The first step to going after what you want is to figure out what it is that you want.  It is important that you get clear on what it is that you truly desire. Not what people think you should do, or what others expect of you… but what YOU truly desire.

Ask yourself: How do I want to feel? What do I desire my life to look like? What is the characteristics and energy of the people I desire to attract and be attracted to?: Tap into how you envision these desires will enhance your life and well being.  What will it feel like? Look like? How will it make you feel? Very little expedite the manifestation of your desires like putting emotions (& faith) behind them! Knowing these answers will help you curate, tap into, and embody the version of yourself already living the life of your desires.  Plus, this will help you align with the vibration of your desires.

Be mindful of procrastination:  If you find yourself taking the action to go after your desires, but lose momentum along the way, CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF.  Often times doubt, fears, or limiting beliefs come up and convince us that we aren’t ready. Maybe you didn’t lose momentum, but you may have discouraged yourself with your thoughts and beliefs.  Either way, be sure to check-in with yourself and work through the doubts, fears, and limiting beliefs. One way to work through hiccups is by using a journal and taking the question: “why do I believe I am unable to do this right now?”  And see what comes up for you. Then, ask yourself whether those things are true, whether what you tell yourself are facts, and whether your reasons are focused on how you feel and what you want, or are you concerned about things outside of you that are out of your control (ex. Other people’s response and opinion).

Take inspired action that align with your heart and soul desire:  Move forward!  Create a plan– ‘what can you do to get where you desire to be?’ And regardless of what that will entail, trust that God/ the Universe will supply you with all your needs.  BUT whatever you do, don’t just sit on the task you have been given; TAKE ACTION.

Keep moving forward:  There may be times where distractions come through. If you find this happening for you, check in with yourself and remember your WHY.  Why did you start? And once you remember that, check to see if that reason and the desire still align with your heart and soul desire.

Again, you can go back through the things we discussed earlier in this article, such as asking yourself “why do I believe I am unable to do this right now?” Check in with those doubts, fears, or limiting beliefs, and then once you are able to get past those hiccups, get back on track. AND Keep going.   YOU DESERVE TO LIVE THE LIFE YOU DESIRE, but you have to do the work required!

NOTE: If at any point you decide that a project you are working on no longer resonates with you, give yourself permission to make new choices. You will know when you are out of alignment with what you are doing… trust yourself. Listen to your body.

I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU to speak life over yourself using affirmations and positive words that align with your desire, as if it already exists.  Plus, make choices that are in alignment with what you desire.

Final Note:

If these whispers in my ear reminded me of anything, it was that it’s important for me to check in with myself.  It’s important for me to recommit, periodically, to projects and my soul mission. It’s easy to slip into a habit, become complacent, and not feel as if you need to make a change when things seem to be ‘ok.’ I don’t know about you, but I am not looking to live a mediocre life… I want the life that is my birthright, A LIFE OF ABUNDANCE.  And that means that I choose to be intentional, check in with myself, and make decisions and moves that align with what it is my soul desire.
